Our Apostolic alignment
GATE MINISTRIES IRENE is a member of the GATE Global Family (GGF), a global family of autonomous and self-governing Spiritual Households (congregations). Each spiritual household is led by a senior elder (representative father) who is voluntarily joined by covenant, mutually accountable, and submitted to the apostolic leadership of GATE.
The GATE family of Spiritual Households regards itself as an integral part of the corporate Body of Christ, the Church and is therefore encouraged to foster relations with congregations within the Body of Christ.

Gate Ministries Irene is a Christ-centered spiritual family committed to advancing the Kingdom of God through authentic biblical culture, relational community, and apostolic leadership. Established in November 2024 and officially launched in January 2025, our journey began with a vision to build more than a congregation—we are building a family.
We are part of a global network of autonomous spiritual households, united by covenant relationships and shared apostolic leadership. Our identity is rooted in the belief that the Church is not merely an institution, but a living, relational expression of God’s family on the earth.
Vision
We exist to bridge the divide between humanity and God by advancing the ministry of reconciliation through Jesus Christ.
Our vision is to:
- Raise sons of God into His image and likeness
- Build a dynamic, spiritually mature family
- Establish the Church as a transformative force in society
- Impact communities locally and globally with Kingdom values
At the heart of our vision is the pursuit of seeing God’s will established on earth—“as it is in Heaven.”
Our Mission
We express our purpose through four key mandates:
Reconcile – Restoring humanity’s relationship with God
Rebuild – Developing believers into spiritual maturity
Raise – Establishing and strengthening the family of God
Release – Sending equipped individuals to represent God in every sphere of life

We are an apostolic community—meaning we are “sent” with purpose, aligned to God’s mission, and committed to representing His heart accurately in the world.

Our Leadership
Senior elders
Mongezi & Lois Hlangoti
Mongezi Hlangoti and Lois Hlangoti are the founders and senior elders of Gate Ministries Irene in Centurion. Established in November 2024 and launched in January 2025, GMI was initially hosted at Viva Vita Restaurant.
Mongezi has been in full-time ministry since 2009 and transitioned into the Apostolic ministry in 2013, while Lois serves as a medical doctor overseeing the HIV and TB ward in the West Rand, Johannesburg. From 2020 to 2025, they served as Pastoral Elders at Gate Ministries Sandton and are under the spiritual oversight of Thamo Naidoo and Mirolyn Naidoo within the GATE Global Family.
